Zaha Hadid is a very influential architect, her work such as
King Abdullah Petroleum Studies and Research Centre in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia has
changed the way people look at architecture. The works organic form allows the
structure to be expanded on, setting the building up for continual growth. The
crystalline structure of the building not only allows it to grow but it also
makes one think that there is some sort of movement within the building. The
Model created based on Zaha’s work explores movement into growth. The model is
a fairly simple model like Zaha’s buildings less shows more. The model looks as though its moving by the
way is spread out and the prism like shapes that a crinkled in together look as
though they are trying to stretch. As for the height this represents growth and
is based on the CMA CGM Headquarters in Marseille, France. The model is also
capable of expanding just like the research centre once again representing
growth.
