After look at many of Zaha Hadid's work and studying two of her works even closer, i took my part of my concept model and turned it into a house of a different kind.

The houses main focus is its exterior and how it's form the house mainly focuses on repetition and movement as the way you would move about's the house is only in one direction and as for the repetition this is clear when you look at the exterior texture and the form and how it is put together this is show more closely with the small 3d interactive printed model that i have gotten made.

The main functions of the house are many for example everyday living such as eating, and sleeping this type of house could also be used as a gallery and office for the architects when they want to get away that why the ideal location that i have chosen for the house is situated somewhere on a cliff facing the ocean example Bondi or even in the desert where you wouldn't normally see something like it.

Precedent and Design Proposal

1. Project one outline

The two architects buildings that i have chosen are Zaha Hadid with the Maggie’s Centre Fife(2001-2006) and Morphosis Architects with Giant Interactive Group Corporate Headquarters

The two Concepts that i am continuing on with from the previous project are:
Repetition and Movement

2. Visual analysis of the two precedents

Both precedents have some form of repetition in them this is created through each of the buildings forms and the triangular like shape and zig zag lines that is present in both of the buildings, this is clearly present in the project one concept model and will defiantly  be present once it is transformed into a building.
Movement is clear within both of the buildings as these buildings are deigned for certain functions and there are people in, out and around of the building.

3. A Design proposal and design draft for project two

House for special person
This house can be designed to suit ones specific needs for example a computer genius who has a lot of money and likes to keep to himself, the design could consist of certain aspects of the house for private work on programming another could be a guest room that is in a very odd place in the house. This challenges movement by the way people move about the house and how they get to it.

Art Gallery and workshop
This building would be a building that is specifically designed for the two precedent architects to work in and present their work,it could also be some sort of holiday home for them a place they come to think and present their work to different people. So the location could be somewhere random example the outback where there is not much designs like theirs that are present there. This would really challenge the concepts as how could repetition be shown in a place where most houses would practically be designed in the same way have the same features in every house on many streets around.

Shopping Center
A place where people shop and may be have lunch at one of the cafes where movement is everywhere you look. As stores line each level of the center row by row how could such boring repetition be changed into some form of architecture and more appealing to the person and make them want to keep coming back to the building not only to shop but just to in and around it. Another challenge is how will people move about this building.

Below is a rough sketch of what my building may look like, this draft is in progress and i plan to improve on it as i go on.

4. A Short Description on your Prescribed Additional Representation

I really like the idea of 3d printing as you could probably show the person your proposing the design to a physical model one that they are able to touch and hold and get a feel of some of the unique forms within the design. I also think i might go with cryengine as you can place your design into the engine and have people actually move in, out and around it this shows the consumer how the buildings function really works and its possibilty of the way people are actually going to get to use this building so make it come to life before it's even been built, gives them a greater look into it than just having a still image of the design.

D I G I T A L  C O N C E P T  M O D E L FINAL

Endless

Build AR is a new exciting and challenging computer program experience, it has allowed me to capture my concept model of growth and Repetition, in a new technological way. It allows the viewer to see 3d models like never before with some simple black and white markers. It gives you a great insight to the person’s true concepts by being able to see the full model and the model broken up into little pieces showing you each and every aspect of the concepts one has chosen. There were some difficulties then again this comes with all assignments but the end things do come together to show what you really want. The way my video was designed is by breaking up the model and showing little bits of it the shows the viewer that the model is made of little components then these are put together to form one thing this represents the concept of growth as for repetition this is shown in the way the model was designed its shape and the its build up shows a lot of repetition. Overall I loved the experience and a great new way to present new ideas.

Introduction

Zaha Hadid is a very influential architect, her work such as King Abdullah Petroleum Studies and Research Centre in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia has changed the way people look at architecture. The works organic form allows the structure to be expanded on, setting the building up for continual growth. The crystalline structure of the building not only allows it to grow but it also makes one think that there is some sort of movement within the building. The Model created based on Zaha’s work explores movement into growth. The model is a fairly simple model like Zaha’s buildings less shows more.  The model looks as though its moving by the way is spread out and the prism like shapes that a crinkled in together look as though they are trying to stretch. As for the height this represents growth and is based on the CMA CGM Headquarters in Marseille, France. The model is also capable of expanding just like the research centre once again representing growth.
