Precedent and Design Proposal
1. Project one outline
The two architects buildings that i have chosen are Zaha Hadid with the Maggie’s Centre Fife(2001-2006) and Morphosis Architects with Giant Interactive Group Corporate Headquarters
The two Concepts that i am continuing on with from the previous project are:
Repetition and Movement
2. Visual analysis of the two precedents
Both precedents have some form of repetition in them this is created through each of the buildings forms and the triangular like shape and zig zag lines that is present in both of the buildings, this is clearly present in the project one concept model and will defiantly be present once it is transformed into a building.
Movement is clear within both of the buildings as these buildings are deigned for certain functions and there are people in, out and around of the building.
3. A Design proposal and design draft for project two
House for special person
This house can be designed to suit ones specific needs for example a computer genius who has a lot of money and likes to keep to himself, the design could consist of certain aspects of the house for private work on programming another could be a guest room that is in a very odd place in the house. This challenges movement by the way people move about the house and how they get to it.
Art Gallery and workshop
This building would be a building that is specifically designed for the two precedent architects to work in and present their work,it could also be some sort of holiday home for them a place they come to think and present their work to different people. So the location could be somewhere random example the outback where there is not much designs like theirs that are present there. This would really challenge the concepts as how could repetition be shown in a place where most houses would practically be designed in the same way have the same features in every house on many streets around.
Shopping Center
A place where people shop and may be have lunch at one of the cafes where movement is everywhere you look. As stores line each level of the center row by row how could such boring repetition be changed into some form of architecture and more appealing to the person and make them want to keep coming back to the building not only to shop but just to in and around it. Another challenge is how will people move about this building.
Below is a rough sketch of what my building may look like, this draft is in progress and i plan to improve on it as i go on.

4. A Short Description on your Prescribed Additional Representation
I really like the idea of 3d printing as you could probably show the person your proposing the design to a physical model one that they are able to touch and hold and get a feel of some of the unique forms within the design. I also think i might go with cryengine as you can place your design into the engine and have people actually move in, out and around it this shows the consumer how the buildings function really works and its possibilty of the way people are actually going to get to use this building so make it come to life before it's even been built, gives them a greater look into it than just having a still image of the design.
